Pseudofolliculitis barbae, and what to do about it.
Tightly curled beard hair does not grow straight out. The razor cuts it at an angle, leaves a sharp tip, and as it grows the tip curls back and pierces the follicle wall from inside. Your immune system responds to the trapped hair, and that response is the bump. On deep skin, each round of inflammation leaves pigment behind, which is why the neck ends up darker than the jaw.
Growing the beard out stops it, which is not an option for most men who work. Laser is the alternative: it destroys the follicle producing the trapped hair, so there is nothing left to grow inwards. You choose where the beard line sits and we treat below it.
Facial and an hour on the table.
A men's facial built around shaving irritation and congestion, followed by sixty minutes of deep tissue work. Two hours, ₦80,000 booked together rather than ₦85,000 apart. Most men arrive for the first and rebook because of the second.
