Is it safe on dark skin, and will it leave dark patches?
Laser does not damage deep skin. The wrong laser does. Most burn and hyperpigmentation stories in Nigeria come from diode or IPL devices, which read melanin in the skin itself as the target and deliver energy to the surface.
We treat Fitzpatrick IV to VI on an Nd:YAG 1064nm laser. Its wavelength passes deeper and is far less absorbed by surface melanin, so the energy reaches the follicle instead of the skin above it. It is the wavelength dermatologists specify for deep skin tones, and it is the only one we use for hair removal.
On top of the device, three rules: every new client is patch tested 48 hours ahead, we start low and raise energy across the course as your skin proves it tolerates it, and we do not treat skin that is actively tanned, irritated or recently waxed.
How the course
actually runs.
Laser only destroys a follicle while it is in its growth phase, and at any moment only a fraction of your hair is. That is the entire reason this is a course and not a single appointment.

What it feels like, and what happens after.
A hot elastic band snap, repeated. Underarms take four minutes; a full leg takes forty. The bikini line is the area clients find sharpest, and the one where the cooling handpiece matters most. You can apply numbing cream thirty minutes before if you would rather not find out.
Afterwards the area looks like mild sunburn for two to twenty-four hours. There is no downtime — clients go back to work. Around ten days later the treated hairs begin to shed, which looks like regrowth and is not. Do not pluck them; let them fall.
Aftercare is short: no gym, sauna, steam or hot shower for 24 hours, no deodorant on treated underarms that day, SPF 30 daily on any exposed area for two weeks, and no waxing or threading between sessions ever. Shaving is fine and expected.

Per session,
and per course.
Course prices are for six sessions paid up front. Areas needing eight are marked, and a course can be split across two payments.
Bikini line, beard and full body are typically eight sessions; the eight-session rate is quoted at consultation. Prices last reviewed January 2026.

“I have turned people away from laser. Grey, red and very fine blonde hair has no pigment for the laser to find, and no amount of sessions changes that. I would rather lose the sale than take money for a course that cannot work.”
